三仏堂
日光山第一の伽藍で、平安朝の初期に、慈覚大使が来山されたおりに、 仁明天皇の勅願によって創建されたもので、天台密教形式の伽藍として 稀有の建物である。
SAN BUTSU DOU
Nikko mountains, it was built by Jikaku daisi by order of Emperor Ninmei. It is a rare builting representing architecture of the Tendai sect.
三仏堂ご本尊
日光山古来の信仰に基づく、金色木彫の千手観世音菩薩、阿弥陀如来、 馬頭観世音菩薩の三尊坐像をご本尊として安置する｡いわゆる「日光三所権現」 の本地仏である。
OBJECTS OF WORSHIP AT SANBUTSU DO
Three gilded wooden statues the Thousandhanded Kwannon(right), the Amida Buddha (center), and the Horse headed Kwannon(left), are en shrined here as pricipal objects of worship.They are the original Buddha statues representative of the socalled "TreeDivine Manifestations in Nikko.
